Meet The Team

Nerissa D. Aquino, DDS

Dr. Aquino received her pre-dental and dental education in the Philippines, graduating from the University of the East College of Dentistry in Manila in 1993. After some years, she completed her residency program at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL, in 2018, where she graduated as the Chief Resident in Advanced Education in her General Dentistry program. She participates in continuing education courses every chance she gets to stay on top of the latest advances in dentistry. She is a proud member of the American Dental Association®, the Florida Dental Association, the American Academy of Clear Aligners and the Treasure Coast Dental Association.

Dr. Aquino has advanced training in crowns, bridges, sleep apnea treatment and is also an Invisalign® provider. She has been practicing dentistry in Port Saint Lucie, FL, for the past six years. Her goal is to make a difference in patients’ oral health by helping them understand their oral needs and guide them to achieve their goals.

Gregorio J. Aquino, DDS

Dr. Gregorio Joseph Aquino, a local Port Saint Lucie resident, completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry from Larkin Community Hospital in South Miami. In addition to his education at Larkin Community Hospital, Dr. Aquino also attended courses at the Misch Implant Institute to further his abilities to help patients with the need for dental implants. He is also trained & proficient in using Hissosen, MIS and Dentsply implants for patients who need it.

He shares his passion for Dentistry with his wife, Dr. Nerissa, and enjoys doing, in addition to providing reliable implants to patients, cosmetic veneers, crowns, root canals, and extractions.

Ashley

Office Manager

Ashley started working with the office when it opened in February of 2023. She loves helping out our patients. The best part is seeing the impact the team makes, and how patients come in so nervous and then leave happy. Seeing the looks on their faces when they get a new smile is something else. Ashley’s job is to verify all insurance and patient benefits as well as answering financial questions and finding a solution to help patients move forward with treatment. Ashley loves to be the smile you see when you first come in to our office and the last when you leave.

Ashley is married and has three children: two girls and one boy. She loves to spend her free time with her family, going to the beach, shopping, fishing and traveling.

Martina

Front Desk Manager

A native floridian Martina joined our office having 14 years experience in the dental field. She enjoys assisting patients and guiding them towards a healthy smile. She loves the outdoors, from riding her bike to trail walks and everything in between.

Sandra

Dental Hygienist

Sandra has an associate in science from Pensacola State College in Florida. She is a recipient of the Golden Scaler Award for being recognized as an outstanding dental hygiene student and outstanding clinical performance and accomplishments. She joined A's Family Dentistry in 2023 when they opened their doors. Sandra understands that dental treatment is often associated with anxiety and fear. She adapts well to each patients’ individual needs and strives to ensure absolute comfort and unparalleled care. As a certified hygienist, Sandra embodies the practice’s philosophy of making patient education a top priority. She enjoys sharing the importance of overall oral health and instructing patients on best home care practices. She also loves providing quality and consistent care in a patient-focused environment.

Sandra is married and has a son who keeps her busy playing competitive soccer.

Hormelle

Head Dental Assistant

Hormelle graduated from Fort Lauderdale High in 1982 before becoming a dental assistant with her certification in X-rays in 1990 after graduating from Nova University. She became a part of A's Family Dentistry in February 2023. Her job is to keep the office organized, help the doctor as a chairside assistant, make supply orders and ensure those supplies are up to date. Hormelle loves the doctor; she loves her work as a DA and working with the team. Her patients are great, and they make her want to come to work every day.

Hormelle has been married since 1991, and she has three kids and five grandkids. She likes to cook, shop, dance, sing and create art in her free time.

Nina

Dental Assistant

Nina became a part of our team in December of 2023. She contributes to the practice by setting the appointments and materials that the doctor will use in the different procedures and assisting her. Nina likes to help patients and provides them with good service so that they feel satisfied with the dental procedures performed.

Nina spends her free time doing many activities. She likes music, dance and loves spending time with her friends.
